As golfers celebrated 10-decades of this elite sport in November 2023, it was befitting to look back at some of the storied trophies and competitions that have left an indelible mark on the history of the club. Besides the Coronation and Bendor, the following events were played annually.

Bogey Competition (Ladies Open Meeting)

In the early days, the Bogey Competition emerged as a highlight on the Ladies Open Meeting calendar. In 1937, the glittering trophy was generously presented by GAILEY & ROBERTS LTD. This event, steeped in tradition, held a special place in the hearts of the community.

The sponsorship from Gailey & Roberts Ltd not only added prestige but exemplified the power of corporate support in enriching local events and fostering community engagement.

The Ladies Trophy

As the years went by, the Ladies Trophy, a monthly rotational cup, graced the NGC calendar.
